ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Hillsborough County Department of Corrections Security Department is comprised of men and women with diverse backgrounds. They are directly responsible for the safety and security of the institution while promoting rehabilitation and maintaining order. Their work is vital in creating a safe environment for inmates and staff while contributing to the larger criminal justice system and public safety. Correctional Officers help shape the experiences of those incarcerated, impacting their path towards reintegration.
