COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The Computer Information Systems Department plays a vital role in the technological direction of the County.  The department develops computer information systems policies and procedures for the County with major area of focus including network design and administration, hardware and software purchasing and implementation, hardware and software support and service, creation and administration of the County's web presence, management of Internet connections and email systems, monitoring system security and development of the County's technology budget. 

The CIS department provides support and vendor interface for over 8 department databases, the County's VOIP telephone system, the County's financial software as well as the County's time and attendance system.   The department provides hardware and software support for more than 8+ County run offices, at six geographic locations which span from Manchester to Nashua, New Hampshire.  The department currently provides support to a user base of approximately 800 employees which utilize approximately 350 computer devices, 350 telephones, 85 printers, 1 facility wide wireless network, 6 internet connections, 3 email systems, and 20 servers.

Currently, this department is staffed by four full-time employees.
