ABOUT THE HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Sheriff Christopher D. Connelly, the 29th Sheriff of Hillsborough County, is responsible for leading, guiding and directing the operations of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Prior to being elected, Sheriff Connelly served in a variety of roles with both local and county law enforcement agencies, to include serving as a Police Chief as well as the Chief Deputy Sheriff for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Sheriffs are certified law enforcement officers, trained and certified by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council. Deputies attend the police academy alongside local and municipal officers, NH State Troopers, NH Conservation Officers and other NH law enforcement officers. A high degree of training helps to ensure that our deputies and support staff provide professional, fair and impartial service to the community while carrying out inherently dangerous duties.
